- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup Worchestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco
- Chicken breasts
Directions:
Oven: Preheat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. Place in foil lined pan. Broil about five inches from heat for 10 minutes. Melt butter in saucepan. Add other ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour over chicken. Bake for 1 hour, basting often. *I like to serve this with Alexia Sweet Potato Fries and a big salad.
Crockpot: I’ve adapted this recipe to cook in a crockpot and serve shredded!
Place all ingredients in a crockpot. Cook over low heat for 6-8 hours – depending on the size and thickness of chicken. Once the chicken is tender, shred, and allow to set and soak up the sauce on the warm setting for 15 minutes. *I love to serve this warm over some cooked, mashed cauliflower.
